So you have a great idea for a location-based app but don’t have the time, effort or willpower to build it? No problem! Submit your idea into the 2011 European Satellite Navigation Competition (ESNC), and you can win prizes just for being creative. Competition submissions close June 30, 2011.
Companies, startups, research institutions, universities or even individuals can participate in this international ideas competition. Every year, the competition searches for and awards the best ideas on satellite navigation-related technology and solutions. More than 20 regional winners compete to become the overall winner – the Galileo Master. Outside of the 20+ regional winners, several companies are also awarding “Special Topic Prizes” based on specific themes. NAVTEQ is sponsoring two themed prize categories:
- Best Mobile Enterprise Solution: NAVTEQ will award the winner of this Special Topic Prize with a business incubation prize package worth 75,000 euro to help build and launch their idea.
- University Challenge: NAVTEQ will award a university student (or group of students) a business incubation prize package worth 75,000 euro for submitting the best idea for a location-based app.
