FAQs of the Month: App Warehouse Special Edition
This month, we are doing a special edition of FAQs of the Month and highlighting questions related to the
NAVTEQ® App Warehouse
This month's questions are:
- Question: What are the requirements for developers who would like to submit their app to the App Warehouse?
Answer: Developers must be a registered member of NN4D and have a commercially available or market-ready app using NAVTEQ® map data, content or NAVTEQ™ LocationPoint™Advertising.
- Question: What are the requirements for submitting a location app?
Answer: Developers upload their application information to the registration site, along with logos, screenshots, and a video of their application, showing how NAVTEQ map data or content is being used. They also need to upload the application itself for NAVTEQ to verify that NAVTEQ map data or content is included in the app.
- Question: What are the requirements for gaining search access to the App Warehouse?
Answer: In order to gain access to search the App Warehouse, a company contact must represent a ‘channel opportunity’ for the application developers. This means in practice that the viewers searching for applications must be partners who are looking to populate an application store, embed software into their latest device, or are searching for applications to integrate into their offering.
- Question: What does it cost to participate in the App Warehouse?
Answer: Participation is free for buyers and sellers.
