TaxiStop Launches Beta Real-Time Taxi Ordering Service in the UK

TaxiStop recently launched their new service in the UK with BlueVia and Microsoft, enabling real-time taxi ordering applications in the UK.  Taxistop was a semifinalist in the 2009 NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge®. Q1 2011 Updates to the NAVTEQ Virtual Developer Lab (VDL)


The NAVTEQ Virtual Developer Lab (VDL) is powered by DeviceAnywhere and is a remote testing service enabling you to test your LBS apps on real handsets in live networks.  In Q1 2011, the service was updated with 55 new devices, and the VDL now has close to 100 GPS enabled devices for LBS app testing.


New Q1 2011 Sample Data Now Available

New NN4D 2011-Q1 sample data and product documentation for the following Showcase Cities are now available on the NAVTEQ B2B download center: Bay Area, Chicago, Detroit, Las Vegas, New York, San Diego, Seattle, Singapore, Sydney and Vancouver.

The NAVTEQ App Warehouse is a free portal that offers free business development and marketing services on a larger scale. The portal is designed to introduce developers of location-based apps to commercial buyers, such as handset manufacturers and network operators, and will formalize our co-marketing efforts.
