Alaska Culinary Academy News

Culinary Arts Instructor Chip Dunlap and five students from AVTEC’s Alaska Culinary Academy participated and won second place in a Beef Throwdown at the Alaska State Fair. University of Alaska Anchorage Naomi Everett and her team took first place.

AVTEC's Academy Café Open October 30 to December 12

The Academy Café, AVTEC’s Alaska Culinary Academy restaurant, will be open Oct. 30 through Dec. 12 (Tuesdays through Fridays) and diners will experience an authentic Portugese-inspired menu created and presented by AVTEC culinary students.
